Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) can create severe jaw deformities affecting function, esthetics and psychosocial health of teenagers afflicted with this disease. The aim chapter is to present the dentofacial manifestations disease proven surgical protocol correct these debilitating deformities. Clinical imaging characteristics JIA patients temporomandibular joint (TMJ) involvement are presented as well produce predictable stable outcomes. research studies documenting efficacy will be reviewed. most predictable, successful, treat includes: bilateral TMJ reconstruction mandibular counterclockwise rotation-advancement patient-fitted total prostheses (TJP) concomitant maxillary osteotomies, adjunctive procedures, performed in a single operation.
